One Good Thing: Now we're talkin'

Got the best response so far to my One Good Thing project -- it's a model of how I hoped people would jump in. This is from Jessica:

I admire the Tea Party for actively using their Right to Assembly as I don't know if I would ever have the guts to attend a political protest.

That's the idea. Short, sincere, meaningful. It's fine if you want to talk politics, but I'd also love to hear from you about other stuff.

Now... what have YOU got?

(Here's some more on what One Good Thing is about, and how to contribute.)

I admire all the hard work and determination that the City of Charlotte is putting into getting the Democratic 2012 Convention, even though not everyone wants it here, as one of your other columnists seems to suggest.

Regardless of the fact that I believe all religions to rank right up there with the tooth fairy as far as believability. I still appreciate any of the good works that they do helping the poor and misfortunate. Shame they just didn't do it just because it was "the right thing to do" and not for ulterior motives.

But at least it's being done and that's a good thing.

Anons: It's hard to let go of that "even though..." and "Regardless..." and isn't it? This project is harder than I thought. It's just about impossible to let go of all the yes-buts. Keep trying.

Sorry, left a stray "and" in that last comment.

WASHINGTON — Federal and local authorities are girding for huge protests, mammoth traffic tie-ups and civil disturbances at the Democratic National Convention in Denver this month, fearing that the convention will become a magnet for militant protest groups.

I admire all the work as well. It will showcase the freak show that is the left.

for being considered a Bible Belt---to much suffering going on. My teenager has been looking over a year. Since he does not go to a church--churches do not assist him. We live off my disability---no one helping the poor here. No one seems to care.

Dallas Cowboy fans make me feel extremely smart.

I hate having to share the road with bikers! They slow traffic down, they pose a danger to us all, but mostly they remind me of how lazy I really am!! :)

I am impressed with the attitude and courtesy I've seen from high school age students.

One good thing about Rush Limbaugh is he has saved AM talk radio. The only good thing...

One good thing about taking the Confederate flag down and putting it in a museum is now it will be preserved and not wind blown to pieces...There I did it, no if's and's or but's.
Thanks for the opportunity Tommy
