A nanny, a photog, a genius

This story was bouncing around Facebook last night... It originally aired a couple of weeks ago on WTTW-TV in Chicago. I watched it and can't stop thinking about it. Makes me wonder how much undiscovered brilliance is all around us.

Enjoy.

Watching this, I felt goosebumps. What talent she had -- and the taped comments at the end are like a prophecy of sorts. Thanks for sharing this!

I think it is why we are so enamored with shows like American Idol and America's got Talent..would the winners of shows like these EVER have found celebrity or fame?
Wonderful story, I loved it!

Thank you, Tommy, for sharing this piece with us, or otherwise we would have never heard of Ms. Meier. Would be nice to see an exhibit of her work at a nearby gallery or museum. Truly prophetic words she spoke there near the end, on a lot of levels. This ole wheel continues to turn, whether we want it to or not. People die everyday and more are born to take their places, the circle of life continues unabated.

Fascinating story, fascinating lady. Her photos, stark and yet warm drew me in. I would love to know her story.

I love taking photos and love the history they tell us about the photographer. That this Realtor knew that he'd found a gem is credit to our often maligned profession. Thank you for sharing. I wonder how many undiscovered talents we have among us.
