Column up!

Well, hey there. I had hoped to plan out my comeback a little better than this, but the South Carolina governor had other ideas, so here's my first column after 11 months off.

I've got some things I want to play around with on this blog, and you'll be seeing that stuff shortly, but for now I want to throw it out to you: What's up? What have I missed since last summer? What should I be writing about? How's everybody doing?

And by the way... it's good to be back.

Hi Tommy! Ricardo Mata. Welcome back buddy!

It's funny. I was just thinking where you might be because we are going to Jekyll this coming Saturday. I'll think about you when we drive past Brunswick High.

Take care buddy!

Where in the wide wide world of sports have you been?

Welcome back Tommy. CO hasn't been the same without you.

Welcome back, Tommy! I wish you'd go back and re-write your column on Sanford, though, and take into account the news that his wife knew about the affair and kicked him out of the house two weeks ago. I think that changes the focus of interest from the trip to the man.

Thanks to everybody. Anon 9:53: That's a good point about Mrs. Sanford. I didn't know that when I filed last night. I suspect we'll learn a LOT more over the next few days...

Tommy! Soooo glad you are back, you have been sorely missed! Maybe I will renew my subscription after all. Hope your time away was productive, the Observer hasn't been the same without you. BTW: love the beard!

Good gracious, Tommy. Is that really you, or is it Norm from 'This Old House' and 'New Yankee Workshop'?
